America Groundwater Trust
One Room, Eight States
NightOwl Heads to the First Great Lakes Groundwater Conference
The Great Lakes groundwater community is getting together for the first time, and the format alone makes this one worth watching. On September 9th- 10th, the American Ground Water Trust brings well contractors, pump pros, water managers, regulators, researchers, and students into a single room for the inaugural Great Lakes Groundwater Conference in Pewaukee, WI.
Here’s what sets it apart. No breakout rooms. No competing tracks. Every attendee, speaker, and exhibitor sits in the same room for the full run of the conference. The program gets selected by local groundwater leaders, so the sessions reflect what’s actually happening across the eight-state region instead of a generic national agenda.
That setup is rare, and it tends to pay off. When the whole room is in on the same conversation, the hallway talk gets a lot more useful. You end up trading notes with people solving the same problems you are, a few states over.
Sean Trapp from NightOwl will be there. If you’re planning to attend and want to talk shop, whether that’s remote monitoring on wells and pumps, what you’re seeing in the field, or where groundwater work is headed in your district, connect with Sean on LinkedIn and grab some time on the calendar:
